RJ Junior, Johnny Piermarini, Secures Prestigious Univ. of Rochester Internship
Junior Johnny Piermarini of Red Jacket High School has been selected for a coveted paid internship at the University of Rochester's Laboratory for Laser Energetics. This opportunity will see Piermarini conducting experiments with cutting-edge technology, including the world's second-largest omega laser. Guided by an experienced engineer, he will undertake a research project, leading to published reports and presentations to scientific communities.
Motivated by his passion for science and a desire to enhance his transcript, Piermarini seized the opportunity after learning about it from Mrs. Jessica Hemenway, his science teacher. Expressing his excitement, Piermarini emphasized the internship's potential to equip him with practical skills for future career endeavors, particularly in biomedical engineering.
