Red Jacket Board of Education Approves New Assistant Principal and Athletic Director

The Manchester-Shortsville Central School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education approved the appointment of Christopher Wickham as the district's new Assistant Principal and Athletic Director during its June 18 meeting.

Mr. Wickham brings a broad range of educational leadership experience to Red Jacket. His career began as a Special Education Teacher before transitioning into educational technology leadership as a Director of Technology. Most recently, he served as the School Business Administrator for Marcus Whitman Central School District.

A resident of the Gorham/Stanley area, Mr. Wickham and his wife, Jackie, are raising their two daughters, Nora and Kennedy. He is passionate about public education and believes strongly in the value of rural schools and close-knit communities.

During the interview process, Mr. Wickham said he was drawn to Red Jacket because of the pride and commitment demonstrated by students, staff, families, and community members.

"I want people to know that I am here to listen, learn, and serve," said Wickham. "I believe every member of a school community has an important voice, and I value open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect."

As Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, Mr. Wickham looks forward to supporting students, working alongside staff, and helping strengthen athletic programs that promote character, teamwork, leadership, and school pride.
