Briella Commisso Receives Superintendent Award

Red Jacket Senior Briella Commisso was among 25 students from the Wayne-Finger Lakes region honored with a Superintendent Award during a celebration at the Conference Center at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES.

Briella was chosen to receive the award by the Manchester-Shortsville Central School District. Recipients must demonstrate leadership, citizenship, and outstanding scholarship by achieving a GPA of 80 or higher by the end of their junior year. All students selected with this honor are then eligible for Superintendent Award Program scholarships, which are made possible through the generous support of five local businesses.

Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES District Superintendent Lynne Rutnik announced the awards. "Congratulations to our outstanding student award recipients! Your achievements are a testament to your hard work, dedication, and exceptional leadership qualities," Rutnik said during the celebration. "As we celebrate your success, we are filled with optimism for the bright future that lies ahead, knowing that it is in the hands of individuals like you."

After being announced, students were awarded their certificates, applauded, and posed for a photo with Rutnik, and guest speaker Drew Holohan, a graduate of Marion High School in his senior year at SUNY Binghamton.
