2024 Holiday Basket Program

The Holiday Basket Program is a volunteer-led effort whose mission is to provide families in need, who are residing in the Manchester-Shortsville Central School district, with a Thanksgiving and Christmas meal basket, as well as Christmas gifts for children (age 16 and younger). The program is entirely supported through the generosity of individuals, organizations, families, businesses, fire departments, churches and Red Jacket schools. Last year, we were able to provide food and gifts to over 70 families and well over 100 children! 
 
Want to help? If you are interested in sponsoring a child (or family), are able to set up a tag tree for your organization or in your business, or are willing to provide a food basket, please contact: TwinCitiesHBP@gmail.com. Once you indicate your desired level of assistance, you will be matched accordingly; no contribution is too small! Specific food lists and gift ideas will be provided. Please consider sponsorship in this program. Your support helps brighten the holidays for members of our community. The more sponsors we have, the more families we can help! In need of assistance? Watch for applications to be posted on the bulletin board at Bliss Shurfine in late September. Applications will also be available for pick up at the Twin-Cities Food Cupboard on Center St. in Manchester. The deadline for submitting applications is November 1st and assistance will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
