Special Thanks to the Manchester-Shortsville Central School District Community

I am so pleased to announce our school budget passed with 254 yes votes to 76 no votes.  The Bus Purchase Reserve Proposition passed with 277 yes to 50 no votes.  And congratulations are in order for Mrs. Heather Bachman, who will be joining the Board of Education on July 1st.  Please help me thank Mr. Schaertl for his service, dedication and commitment to our schools for the past five years.

I am proud of the opportunities we are able to provide our students.  They receive superior instruction, have access to state of the art technology, receive individualized attention, and have the ability to participate in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities – opportunities that do not happen for all children in larger schools.

Once again, Red Jacket has made the US News & World Report’s

2018 Best High Schools Report

Red Jacket High School is a 2018 Silver Medal Award School!  Out of 28,800 public schools across 50 states, only 500 received Gold Medals; 2,211 schools received Silver Medals; and 3,237 schools scored bronze in the National Rankings.  Red Jacket also out-performed the State on Regents exit exams for Reading and Math.  These results are truly a testament to the hard work of our students, staff, and parents; working in partnership from UPK/Pre-K all the way through senior year to ultimately prepare our students to succeed in a complex and competitive workforce.

Thank you Red Jacket students, staff, parents, and community for supporting our students and your school!  I couldn’t be more grateful to be a part of such an extraordinary school community!

With Red Jacket PRIDE,

Charlene Dehn
