I am your School Nurse who cares for your children. I will always try to communicate with you if anything significant happens that causes your child to make a health office visit. As Jocelyn Elders, MD, former surgeon general noted “You cannot educate a child who is not healthy, and you cannot keep a child healthy who is not educated”. This is my challenge, as your child’s School Nurse, to help them learn to care about their physical and emotional well-being. Every visit to my office I try to include a little bit of teaching about how to care for themselves. I am your child’s School Nurse who respects your child as a unique individual with potential to learn and grow into a responsible, healthy member of society.
I will update my WEB site periodically. You will find forms to take to your health care provider for the mandated physicals and immunizations, as well as links to healthy WEB sites for you or your child to visit.
My voice mail is on at all times that I am out of the office, so please leave me a message with any concerns and I will return your call as soon as possible. REMEMBER, when your child is absent or will be tardy to let us know, being sure to follow up with a written excuse upon their return.
