Health and wellness education is the foundation for the development of self-management, communication, decision making, planning, goal setting, stress management and advocacy. Health education is designed to enable students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to promote lifetime wellness. This class prepares our students to evaluate and make critical choices promoting a high level of wellness while enhancing their physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual health. All students are required to complete 20 weeks of health in grade 7 and 20 weeks of health during their high school career. A half unit of credit is required for graduation.
