Senior Spotlights - Class of 2016
The class of 2016 is a talented group! We will be sharing their memories and plans over the next few months so that everyone can get to know this class of unique individuals! If you see them, please congratulate them on all they've done and encourage them to continue to make Red Jacket PROUD!!!

Alexis Adams
Alexis Adams - Alexis began attending Red Jacket in kindergarten. She plans to attend college to become an occupational therapist. She is currently looking at Keuka, Utica, Ithaca, and Nazareth Colleges.  Alexis's favorite memory from Red Jacket was her performance in the musical, "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." Her mom remembers sending her to kindergarten, literally singing all the time. She was so relieved to find that Alexis had Mrs. Miller, who played piano and sang throughout the day! Alexis shared this advice for younger RJ students: "Embrace the community that is Red Jacket. If you don't, you may fail; but if you do, you'll be a success!"
Daria Algier
Daria AlgierDaria began attending Red Jacket in kindergarten. She plans to enlist in the Navy after graduation and serve her country. We thank her for that! Daria's favorite memory from Red Jacket is all of the wonderful people she has met. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Don't make dumb excuses for not doing your homework!" 
Melina Algier
Melina AlgierMelina has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She plans to attend college for an art related field of study. She is currently exploring options and programs of study. She is looking at the Art Institute of Chicago, Montserrat College of Art in Massachusetts, and Full Sail University. Her favorite memory is from 3rd grade when she was taught how to make hot chocolate in a bag! Her advice to younger RJ students: "Always keep up with your homework. Don't slack off! It will catch up with you later."

Adam Anderson
Adam Anderson Adam began attending Red Jacket in kindergarten. He plans to attend college after graduation and pursue a criminal justice degree. Adam's favorite memories at Red Jacket are of the lunches where he was able to spend time with friends. His advice to younger RJ students: "Do your homework for Mr. Schaertl :)"
Blackwell, Lexie
Lexie Blackwell

 Lexie came to Red Jacket in 4th grade on a SNOW DAY of all days! Lexie plans to go to college after graduation and pursue a degree in human services. She hopes to become a child protective caseworker. Her favorite memory from Red Jacket was her trip to Disney. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Study! Spend time with your friends now. After graduation you won't see them everyday." 
Burleson, Gabbi
Gabbi Burleson- Gabbi has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. Gabbi plans to work full-time for a year and then decide on a career path. Gabbi is a talented artist and her favorite memory is participating in all of Red Jacket's Art Shows . Her advice to younger RJ students: "Keep to yourself and avoid the drama!" 

Tammy Boak
Tammy BoakTammy started at Red Jacket in kindergarten and has been here ever since. She is planning to attend FLCC after graduation. Tammy's favorite memory from Red Jacket was her trip to Disney with the band and chorus. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Don't procrastinate!" 
Hana Cheasman
Hana Cheasman - Hana started at Red Jacket in kindergarten. She is planning to attend FLCC after graduation for communications and broadcasting and then go onto St. John Fisher or Syracuse. Hana's favorite memory from Red Jacket was running cross country and track, and getting to know the coaches and the other runners. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Don't give up!" 
Dan Clark
Dan Clark - Dan has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He plans to pursue a degree in physical therapy and is currently looking at both Ithaca and Nazareth. Dan's favorite memory was winning leagues for baseball last year! His advice to younger RJ students: "Enjoy your time here. It goes by really fast!"
Matt Clemenson
Matt Clemenson - Matt has attended Red Jacket since first grade. He plans to attend college and pursue a degree in computer science and programming. Matt's favorite memory was coming to Mrs. Ryan's office for candy! His advice to younger RJ students: "Do your homework!"
Matt DeCook
Matt DeCook - Matt has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He would like to attend FLCC or MCC and major in the technology field. 
Alys Derby
Alys Derby - Alys came to Red Jacket in sixth grade. She plans to attend college and pursue a degree in communications. She hopes to work in broadcast journalism or public relations. Her favorite memory was when she auditioned and was chosen for Concert Choir as a freshman. Her advice to younger RJ students: "No matter how you feel, high school is not the be all end all. Enjoy your time here and don't stress." 
Emma Desmond
Emma Desmond - Emma came to Red Jacket in third grade. Emma hopes to attend college and medical school, and then ultimately pursue a career as an obstetrician. Her favorite memory from RJ was her NHS induction and attending the CNA program at FLTCC. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Stay in school! Make sure you aren't fooling around. It's more important than you know." 
Doody, Andrew
Andrew Doody - Andrew has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He plans to attend FLCC and explore his options. Andrew's favorite memory was watching Mr. Martina get a pie in the face at the pep rally. His advice to younger RJ students: "Do your work. Don't take it too seriously and get stressed out. Find a way to enjoy it!"

Fair, Ashleigh
Ashleigh Fair - Ashleigh has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is planning to attend Monroe Community College (MCC) in the fall to pursue a degree in accounting. Her favorite memory from RJ was moving up day from the elementary to middle school. Her advice to younger RJ students: "It might be tough now, but it will all be worth the struggle at the end." 
Tyler Gardner
Tyler Gardner - Tyler has attended Red Jacket since first grade. He hopes to attend Texas A & M to become a petroleum engineer. One of his favorite memories was winning back to back sectional titles for football. His advice to younger RJ students: "Enjoy every moment of these years, because they fly by!" 
Matt Gebo
Matt Gebo- Matt has attended Red Jacket since 9th grade. He is planning to major in psychology and would like to attend either Keuka or Brockport College. He is still visiting colleges. One of Matt's favorite memories was doing the pep rally with his best friend! His advice to younger RJ students: "Put 100% effort into everything you do. Ignore the pointless drama of high school!" 
Gerlock, Jessica
Jessica Gerlock - Jessica has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is planning to attend SUNY Brockport in the fall to study childhood education. Her favorite memory was performing at the pep rally for cheerleading. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Cherish every moment because it goes by quick." 
Emily Gray
Emily Gray - Emily has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is interested in pursuing a degree in hospitality management. She is currently visiting Cornell, Penn State, and Fairleigh Dickinson Universities. Her favorite memories are the opening nights of the musicals! Her advice to younger RJ students: "Teachers are a valuable resource, so take advantage of them!"
Serena Hardy
Serena Hardy - Serena came to Red Jacket in ninth grade. She hopes to attend the University of Buffalo and pursue a degree in journalism or communication. Her favorite memory from Red Jacket was her first day here. She met all of her great friends that she loves! Her advice to younger RJ students: "Cherish the time you have to goof off!"
Harris, Amanda
Amanda Harris - Amanda has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She hopes to begin at FLCC studying music production and then transfer to Full Sail University in Florida. Her favorite memory from Red Jacket was going to Disney her junior year. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Believe in yourself!"
Morgan Harris
Morgan Harris -Morgan has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is planning to attend FLCC after graduation and pursue a degree in nursing. Her favorite memory is of her trip to New York City with Mr. Wight. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Stay organized! It's hard falling behind, you have to catch up." 
Shyanne Harris
Shyanne Harris - Shyanne has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is planning to pursue employment, prior to attending college for music or animal care. Her favorite Red Jacket memory is the homecoming dance her senior year. Her advice to younger RJ students: "If big storms head your way, stand up and make your own choices." 
Beau Herendeen
Beau Herendeen - Beau has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He plans to pursue a major in psychology and a minor is philosophy, but has not decided on a college. His favorite Red Jacket memory is sitting with the same friends at lunch each year. His advice to younger RJ students: "Try hard in all of your classes!" 
Holton, Jesse
Jesse Holton - Jesse has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He plans to secure his ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification. He is currently working for Auto Zone, but plans to move onto a larger company after receiving his certification. Jesse's favorite memory from Red Jacket is meeting his girlfriend, Caitlin. His advice to younger RJ students: "Do your work so you can attend the vocational school." 
Ben Knowlton
Ben Knowlton - Ben has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is interested in the field of environmental science. He is currently considering joining the US Coast Guard or attending Morrisville. His favorite Red Jacket memory is the long runs during indoor season. His advice to younger RJ students: "Take all your classes seriously." 
Adrian Lane
Adrian Lane - Adrian has attended Red Jacket since 5th grade. She is currently undecided about her path after high school, but is working with Mrs. Ryan on a plan. Her favorite Red Jacket memory is cheerleading with all the girls. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Keep your head up. It will get better. Just don't give up!" 
Nate Lewis
Nate Lewis - Nate has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He plans to attend MCC and pursue a career as an electrician. His favorite Red Jacket memory would be the Halloween Parades in the elementary school. His advice to younger RJ students: "Stay organized for all of your classes!" 
Alexis Lyons
Alexis Lyons - Alexis has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is planning to pursue a degree in psychology, but is unsure of which college she'll attend. Her favorite Red Jacket memory is making the Varsity Cheerleading Team during the fall of 8th grade. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Take high school seriously!"
MacDonald, Una 
Una MacDonald - Una has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She plans to attend Finger Lakes Community College (FLCC) in the fall to study Actuarial Science. Una's favorite RJ memory is eating lunch with Mrs. Riddle for the last couple years. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Definitely do the homework and listen to the teachers. Don't let the drama get to you. Pettiness isn't worth ruining your high school career." 
Joe Massaro
Joe Massaro - Joe has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He plans to attend MCC and pursue a career in music journalism. His favorite Red Jacket memory is the Halloween Parades in the elementary school. His advice to younger RJ students: "Don't fall behind on your work!" 
Moore, Molly
Molly Moore -  Molly has attended Red Jacket since 6th grade. She is hoping to attend Ithaca College in the fall to study business. Molly's favorite memory from RJ was participating in all of the spirit days. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Work hard, study, and plan ahead." 
Matt Morrison
Matt Morrison - Matt has attended Red Jacket since ninth grade. He plans to continue to attend FLCC and major in psychology. His favorite Red Jacket memory was his opportunity to attend FLCC his senior year. His advice to younger RJ students: "Stay in school!" 
Tyler Moyer
Tyler Moyer - Tyler has attended Red Jacket since first grade. He plans to attend Morrisville and pursue a career in agricultural engineering. His favorite Red Jacket memories are from his time on the baseball team. His advice to younger RJ students: "Remember that our teachers are always here to help us!" 
Brooke Napolean
Brooke Napolean -  Brooke has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She plans to major in accounting but has not chosen a college. Her favorite Red Jacket memory was going to Myrtle Beach with the softball team. Her advice to younger RJ students: Study hard and pay attention!" 
Thomas Palmeri
Thomas Palmeri - Thomas has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to enter the Army after graduation. His favorite Red Jacket memory is his first game winning touchdown at Penn Yan. His advice to younger RJ students: "Don't take high school for granted. Enjoy yourself while you're here." 
Connor Parmarter
Connor Parmarter - Connor has attended Red Jacket since 3rd grade. He is planning to attend RIT and major in computer sciences. His favorite Red Jacket memory was the 5th grade dance with Daniel Clark. He can share that funny story with you! His advice to younger RJ students: "Don't overwhelm yourself with work." 
Allison Pollock
Allyson Pollock - Allyson has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is planning to go to Continental School of Beauty in Rochester for aesthetics. Her favorite Red Jacket memory was Rocket Day in 6th grade. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Focus more on school work and not on trying to fit in and be cool!"
Lane Priest
Lane Priest- Lane has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to major in childhood education and is currently investigating a number of colleges. One of Lane's favorite memories was doing the pep rally with his best friend Matt! His advice to younger RJ students: "Do your work - be teachable!" 
Katie Rice
Katie Rice - Katie has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She intends to enlist in either the Army or Navy after graduation. Her favorite Red Jacket memories come from the Disney trips she went on. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Have fun and make it last because it goes by fast!" 
Keith Rizzo
Keith Rizzo - Keith has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to pursue a degree in Biology, but has not decided on a college. His favorite Red Jacket memory was participating in sports. His advice to younger RJ students: "Do your work!" 
Michael Rizzo
Michael Rizzo - Michael has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to attend Morrisville and major in agricultural business. His favorite Red Jacket memories come from his time with the track team. His advice to younger RJ students: "Get help from your teachers." 
Remington Rossignol
Remington Rossignol - Remington has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to become a military policeman with the Army. His favorite Red Jacket memory was the 2014 homecoming football game - good times! His advice to younger RJ students: "The sooner you realize you can be who you want, the sooner you will enjoy your school experience." 
Trenton Rude
Trenton Rude - Trenton has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning enroll in a 2 + 2 program with MCC and then RIT. He intends to major in computer science/engineering. His favorite Red Jacket memory was the FIRST Robotics competition at RIT. His advice to younger RJ students: "Follow your own morals. No one elses." 
Kari Salazar
Kari Salazar - Kari has attended Red Jacket since 5th grade. She hopes to go to Alfred State for the vet tech program. Her favorite Red Jacket memory came from the second day of 5th grade when she knew no one. She went to lunch and sat next to a girl who had the same Hannah Montanna lunch box she did. The girl announced, "You are my new best friend!" They have remained friends ever since. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Don't procrastinate. It will only build up and snowball!" 
Nick Samadurov
Nick Samodurov - Nick has attended Red Jacket since second grade. He is planning to pursue an automotive engineering degree. His favorite Red Jacket memory would be sophomore year and winning the sectional championship in football. His advice to younger RJ students: "Focus more on your work and not on your phone." 
Nathan Sawyer
Nathan Sawyer - Nathan has attended Red Jacket since second grade (October 20, 2005 to be exact). He is planning to "live up the summer before college" and then attend Houghton College where he will major in music education. His favorite Red Jacket memory comes from a prank he was involved in after a track meet. The team arrived in Mr. Schaertl's room to find that a pyramid had been formed with his furniture and a note was left from "the Falsonians." Nathan and some friends happened to find a key to Mrs. Falsone's classroom and were able to pile her desks and tissues boxes up as a return favor. Somewhere in all of this he received a Snickers bar as a reward! His advice to younger RJ students: "Respect the teachers and staff and then maybe they will look at you in a better light. You may also end up with some nice privileges!" 
Walter Schaertl
Walter Schaertl - Walter has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to attend RIT for computer engineering. His favorite Red Jacket memory was building snow thrones with the indoor distance team. His advice to younger RJ students: "Care!" 
Tim Scherer
Tim Scherer - Tim has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to attend FLCC for pre-medical classes. His favorite Red Jacket memories are from playing football and winning leagues and sectionals. His advice to younger RJ students: "Focus and strive!" 
Sean Sheets
Sean Sheets - Sean has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to pursue a degree in elementary education. Sean is considering Keuka, Brockport, and Onandoga Community College. His favorite Red Jacket memory was winning sectionals in football! His advice to younger RJ students: "The time goes by too fast to let moments slip by you." 
Robin Stock
Robin Stock - Robin has attended Red Jacket since 11th grade. She is planning to attend MCC for nursing. Her favorite memory is how nice everyone was when she arrived at Red Jacket. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Keep up with all your work!"
Kelsey Sweeney
Kelsey Sweeney - Kelsey has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. She is currently looking at Vanderbilt and hopes to go there to pursue a degree in marketing and public relations. Her favorite memory is of cheering at each of the pep rallies. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Stay on top of your school work. Get it done!"
Kaylyn Teufel
Kaylyn TeufelKaylyn came to Red Jacket in second grade. She plans to attend FLCC and pursue a nursing degree after graduation. Her favorite memories of Red Jacket come from spirit week. She enjoys seeing everyone showing Red Jacket PRIDE! Her advice to younger RJ students: "Show respect and keep up with your work!" 

Caitlin Unger
Caitlin UngerCaitlin came to Red Jacket in first grade. She is planning to travel the country and pursue an online degree in criminal justice and psychology . Caitlin's favorite memory of Red Jacket was her first prom. Her advice to younger RJ students: "Just keep pushing forward!" 
Weeks, Alexander
Alexander Weeks - Alex has attended Red Jacket since kindergarten. He is planning to shadow an electrician and the move onto an apprenticeship. His favorite funny Red Jacket memory was when he tried to "flick" his sneaker to a friend in the cafeteria and it ended up going straight up in the air and hitting a ceiling tile. His advice to younger RJ students: "Learn a skill, rather than just playing video games. Listening and following directions are really important skills."
