Happy Spring and Summer, Parents and guardians!
As the weather warms, the winter jackets are put away and the summer clothes are pulled out of hiding.
As May rolls in, we typically start to see inappropriate clothes/garments that potentially hinder the educational process (according to our Dress Code).
Here is a helpful reminder of our Student Dress Code:
Each building principal or his or her designee shall be responsible for informing all students and their parents of the student dress code at the beginning of the school year and any revisions to the dress code made during the school year. All staff will enforce the dress code.
Students who violate the student dress code shall be required to modify their appearance by completely covering or removing the offending item and, if necessary or practical, replacing it with an acceptable item. Any student who refuses to do so shall be subject to discipline, up to and including in-school suspension for the day. Any student who repeatedly fails to comply with the dress code or violates the dress code by wearing the same inappropriate article of clothing shall be subject to further discipline, up to and including detention or in-school suspension.

We are ready for the challenge of the NYS Assessments:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (April 16-18) = ELA-Grades 6-8
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (April 24-26) = Math-Grades 6-8
It is important that your child is:
1. Well rested
2. On time
3. Has support in school and at home
Periods 1-4 will be our testing blocks. The afternoons have unique, built-in schedules to allow our students to enjoy some fun, relaxed review for the following day's assessment. We also have a special Math-Camp scheduled for our students during the week to give them every opportunity to prepare for the math assessments.
