Dear Red Jacket Families,
We have an exciting family event coming this month!
Family Matters Night: This is a free family event and will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 6-8pm in the elementary school. There will be exciting activities for your children to participate in, including crafts, decorating cookies, open gym, and more. Parents will have the opportunity to win baskets of goods donated by staff and local businesses. This is a great opportunity for parents, students, and staff to get out of the house and enjoy an evening of fun! We hope to see you there!
I want to thank the PTSA for all of their hard work and dedication to our Red Jacket families. As I have mentioned in previous newsletters, we are looking for new and eager members to join the PTSA team. Please contact the elementary school if you have an interest in joining. Our next PTSA meeting will be February 8th at 5:30 in the public library.
Although winter has taken its time arriving this year (not that I am complaining), it does appear we have settled into some colder weather. Despite this wintery weather, we still try to get students outdoors whenever possible. Please remember to send your child to school with a winter coat, hat, and gloves. If your child does not have these items, please contact the elementary office so we can assist you in getting any necessary article of clothing.
If a snow day does occur, the school will notify parents by phone through School Messenger. Parents can also monitor the following TV and radio stations for information:
- WROC (Channel 8)
- WHEC (Channel 10)
- WHAM (Channel 13)
- WHAM/AM 1180
- WCGR/AM 1550 AM
- The Mix 100.5
- WARM 101.3
