A Message from Mr. Falanga

Let’s strive to make this the best school year ever!

I’m pleased to report that we were ready in all respects to welcome students, staff, parents and the community to another wonderful school year at Red Jacket Elementary School.  From the comments of our students, it was apparent that you enjoyed your summer break, filled with fun family activities and opportunities to learn and grow. This is always an exciting time of year seeing smiling faces and excited children and faculty & staff re-charged and ready for a new school year of striving toward academic excellence. Our school focus for the 20011-2012 school year can best be summarized with the following Elementary Building Council Goals; (EBC plan can be found on the district web site)

                        The Elementary Building Council recognizes……….

*To ensure all communication is open, clear and consistent

*To enhance and expand bullying prevention and response

*To develop and highlight positive character traits

*To improve cafeteria behavior and atmosphere

*To further promote a sense of community among staff

*To continue to support staff and parents on the adoption of the Response to Intervention (RTI) process, (look for the RTI information flyer to be sent home soon).

In closing, please continue delivering the consistent message of being punctual, completing assignments and reading daily. We are very blessed to have a staff that is dedicated and will continue to provide our students with the commitment to academic excellence and leadership so that each child  achieves to his or her fullest potential.
