Calculus
This is a first course in calculus intended to focus on the mathematics
of changing rates while providing practical applications for all
previous high school math courses. The derivative of polynomial and
transcendental functions is investigated from a numerical, graphical,
and algebraic approach with an emphasis on practical applications in
Physics, Engineering, Biology, and Business. Introductions of the
definite integral and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus are also
topics included in this course. Graphing calculators are used
extensively in this course. The culminating assessment is a local final
exam.
