Welcome to kindergarten. In our classroom we learn and play as much
as possible. Sometimes it's hard to believe that we are learning because
we are having so much fun. I believe in a hands on approach that allows
children to explore and formulate their own ideas about new concepts.
Even as I teach I am constantly amazed as to what students can learn
while having fun. They soak up so much information, and ask so many
questions that lend themselves to discovery. I try my best to provide an
atmosphere that allows students to feel nurtured and cared for, and
hope that in the process they will feel comfortable enough to share
their visions and ideas with the class. My idea of a successful year is
to have every one of my students leave my class with the notion that
they are a vital part of the school community and that they have
something positive to contribute. I want my students to leave me knowing
that they grew both personally and academically, and that they are the
real reason why I love to teach.
