The Manchester-Shortsville CSD has implemented Response to Intervention (RtI) at the K-5 grade levels and continues to offer Academic Intervention Services (AIS) at the 6-12 grade levels for students at risk of not meeting state standards or achieving proficiency on a NYS Assessment.

We use "grade level" RtI at the elementary school where all students are involved in either intervention or high interest activities during the same block of time each day. This allows staff with a variety of talents and backgrounds to have the opportunity to work with students in diverse settings. The goal is to meet all students needs during this time period.

We will continue to investigate best practices for interventions at the middle and high school level.
